Grammy Award winning Stone Temple Pilots completed their North American self titled tour in Pomona this past weekend. The hard rockers have been on the road for the past twenty-four months entertaining crowds across the world and Saturday continued with the same momentum. As the quartet took the stage, The Fox Theatre erupted with screams and excitement.

Lead singer Scott Weiland posed with dark shades and a bullhorn in hand as they started the evening with Crackerman from their debut album. Audiences everywhere instantly responded by jumping along to the rhythm as others banged their heads uncontrollably. Weiland ran across stage as he leaned on the Deleo brothers, while everyone in the front row snapped the perfect photo opportunity. Guitarist Dean Deleo continued the electricity in the air as he introduced Vaseline along drummer Eric Kretz. The crowd competed with Weiland’s voice as they shouted the lyrics to the popular hit.

Weiland delivered one of his best performances as he fed off the vibrant crowd energy. As he paced across stage, He climbed the massive speakers behind Kretz and sang from twelve feet in the air. The Fox Theatre, which accommodates an estimated 2, 000 fans, provided an intimate ambience as everyone enjoyed the night. They concluded their ninety-minute set with Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart as the band invited their families on stage and thanked the crowd for a wonderful tour.
