Seattle favorites Boyfriends shared their newest single “I Thought We Had Plans” with Impose on Friday, March 4th. The single is taken from the A-side of their upcoming 3-track seven inch, and the song also features Emily Nokes of fellow Seattle group, and close friends of Boyfriends, Tacocat.

“We recorded an 8-song demo at The Vault in Seattle, which is literally located in an old vault in the basement of a Bank of America. Ian Lesage engineered the recordings. The three songs appearing on the 7” are from this session. We were going for a sound combining some of our favorite bands from the late 70’s and early 80’s (Talking Heads, Gang of Four, The Cure) with lyrical content regarding themes and issues that are relevant to us now (science fiction, sexual identity, relationship crap).” – Boyfriends
