Mac Gollehon is the go-to in the music industry for trumpet arrangements and tracks. He’s worked with an image1 (1)endless list of pop and rock legends such as Duran Duran, Grace Jones, Rick James and David Bowie. With his band The Hispanic Mechanics, his new single “No More Drama” showcases his eclectic and versatile style. The video for this frenetic and interesting new single was directed by Dylan Mars Greenberg and released May 8.

Gollehon’s roots and education are enviable to say the least. He studied at Berklee College of Music and even worked with Miles Davis. Jazz fusion permeates “No More Drama”, which True Groove Records this spring, but adds even more modern elements like electronic supporting tracks and indie flavor. A Latin beat lays the foundation of this track while electronic and vocal mod elements allow Gollehon’s impeccable trumpet and coronet to soar to new heights. The accompanying video is fun, weird and frenetic just like the track which inspired it.

“No More Drama” is a jazz fusion with even more fusion. Incorporating electronic, indie and new vocal styles makes Mac Gollehon and the Hispanic Mechanics’ work not only beautiful, but relevant. “No More Drama” can also be streamed on Mac Gollehon’s Soundcloud page.
