The slow burner – with its steamy/heady production and Bank$ unmistakable raspy vocals – is yet another taste off the rising artist’s upcoming debut project to be released later this year.
Bank$ mentions that the song was inspired by the idea of fashion and consumerism: “I’ve always found it alluring, the way we buy clothes to please the eye, and the eye in turn only wishes to remove them.” “Off” is the follow up to Bank$ “Leave Me Alone, ” which premiered on Nylon.com and went viral. Bank$ has been swiftly making her mark in the music industry after releasing her debut “LVLUP” earlier this year, which climbed to the Top 10 of the Spotify Viral charts – read her recent interview with TIDAL who named the Queens sensation as a “rising talent.”
Singer/songwriter Liana Bank$ was born in Manhattan and raised in Queens, NY. She grew up surrounded by a family of accomplished musicians who performed on Broadway, sang jazz, and gospel. Through pure coincidence, Bank$ had a chance to audition for Chris Brown for an MTV performance as a background dancer and secured the slot. The experience watching Chris rehearse and perform was so inspiring, that it solidified her realization that she wanted to be an artist. Soon, she was hitting the studio and writing songs with legendary producers like Scott Storch, Jerry Wonda and JR Rotem. Bank$ upcoming debut project is the culmination of her experiences these past few years and one that will solidify her as the industry’s most exciting break out talent.
