Suburban Light was meant to be a complicated, high-production affair rendered in a major studio. From 1997 until 2000, The Clientele had released a sterling string of 7” singles on several labels—Pointy and Fierce Panda, Elefant and Johnny Kane. These songs were demos, preparations for the smash they knew they’d doubtlessly make. When it finally came time to record that debut, the four post-graduate friends entered expensive studios during off hours. Instead of finding their sound, though, they only found frustration.

Portland-based band Candace crafts dreamy, carefree tracks melding shoegaze, indie rock, and lo-fi. Warbly Jets Announce North American Tour Supporting Liam Gallagher

On the tails of completing the most successful North American run of their storied career, Queens of the Stone Age have confirmed a second Stateside installment of the 2018 Villains World Tour. The new dates will begin with a March 21 and 22, 2018 two night stand in San Diego, and run through the end of May, including an April 24 appearance at the Austin 360 Amphitheater—the first QOTSA Austin headline show since 2011 and first time in the area since Austin City Limits 2013.

Charles Bradley Passes After Cancer Battle

Charles battled cancer with everything he had. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 2016 and underwent treatment. Bradley headed out on the road earlier this year after receiving a clean bill of health but the cancer recently returned, spreading to his liver.

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU To Kick Off West Coast Mini-Tour

Texan instrumental rock collective THIS WILL DESTROY YOU will kick off a West Coast mini tour this week with Glassing. The near week-long journey will run from September 19th in San Diego, California through September 25th in Phoenix, Arizona. In November, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU will take to the streets again for an East Coast jaunt beginning November 12th in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and running through November 18th in Teaneck, New Jersey. The trek features support from Sannhet and includes a performance at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, New York as part of Knit Ball 2017, a week-long series of shows celebrating the historic venue's 30th anniversary.

Juanita Stein Announces Fall Tour

Following the warmly received release of her solo debut, America, Juanita Stein has confirmed an international fall tour. Dates include a support run with The Killers in the UK as well as several headline US dates. Stein will make key stops in Austin, New York City, Philadelphia and Nashville. The Howling Bells frontwoman-turned-solo artist released America on Handwritten Records earlier this summer to critical delight.

London Grammar Release “Non Believer” Video

London Grammar have released the video for "Non Believer," the latest track to be taken from the trio’s second album Truth Is A Beautiful Thing. The video follows a busy summer for the band who have played a slew of festivals including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and many more. The band will head to Australia later this month before returning to the UK for a sold out headline in October.
