On Tuesday night at the intimate Teragram Ballroom, John Maus performed a rare sold out solo set in support of his new LP “Screen Memories.” The venue held a vast array of people of all ages and dispositions, including the much beloved local concert hero of sorts Howard Mordoh the “Dancing Man,” known for attending the best shows Los Angeles has to offer each week. Maus himself though proved to be the real dancing man this night, jumping and swaying wildly across stage, all the while expressing the deep angst within his synth pop solo work. As one of the most expressive experimental artists of this day and age, he gave a rousing performance that no one in attendance will soon forget. Be sure to check out his new music and future tour dates for a show you don’t want to miss.
