British rock and rollers Kasabian returned to the Wiltern Saturday night in support of their sixth studio album ‘For Crying Out Loud.’ The six-piece act lead by singer Tom Meighan began the set list with ‘Ill Ray (The King)’ off their latest record. The band collectively dressed in white, wearing subtle messages underneath their coats as they revealed more throughout the performance. ‘Bumblebeee’ continued the setlist as the audience cheered in anticipation. Performing another hit off of their previous release ’48:13,’ ‘eez-eh’ set the tone for the crowd to follow as the energy and thrill flooded the venue with passion by incorporating Daft Punk’s ‘Around The World’ as the outro of the track.

Meighan often interacted with the audience, expressing his gratitude for everyone attending. Exploring material from their latest effort, ‘You’re In Love With A Psycho’ quickly became a shouting anthem for fans as they participated in the chorus. ‘Club Foot’ expanded into their debut album as they delivered consecutive flawless performances. Shifting singing duties when possible, Guitarist Serge Pizzorno’s upbeat melodies expanded from pounding distortions to smooth grooves. ‘Bless This Acid House’ was well received as the song packed enough throttle to mix heavy electronic dance beats with wicked shredding.

Shifting directions, Kasabian performed Nirvana’s ‘All Apologies’ resulting in a collaborate effort between the crowd and the band. ‘Lost Souls Forever’ received one of the loudest responses from fans as they teased a mild encore. After a ninety minute session of creative fusion, the show concluded with their hit single ‘Fire,’ giving everyone in attendance a seamless signoff. Kasabian’s previous performance on the west coast dates back to Coachella in 2015 with a Los Angeles appearance the year prior. Their current seven-date American tour concluded Sunday night in San Francisco. They continue their world tour in Mexico on the 27th of September before heading out to Europe throughout the winter.
