A huge line formed outside the Echoplex on Glendale Boulevard Monday night, building anticipation for Los Angeles’ premier indie artists. With a lineup specially curated by Neon Gold’s Popshop West, it was no wonder that the venue was already packed for the first artist of the night. The quaint venue has become a trademark Los Angeles location, especially with the popularity of Echo Park rising every year, making it the best location to find new talent and your next favorite artist. The sold out show was a massive success from start to finish, the perfect debut celebration for these.
The first artist of the night was Snow Culture, a Swedish duo that has been on the rise since the debut of their single “No Sleep” and cover of the Maroon 5 single “Cold.” They performed a compelling set for all in attendance with new music that released to the world the following day on Halloween. Check out their debut EP “EP1” and be on the look out for this new indie duo.
Saro was next up, blowing the crowd away with his stellar vocals. Draping the stage with blues and heavy smoke, the set design gave the performance an intimate feeling that perfectly paired with his beautifully emotional ballads. The set was especially moving, which featured intimate work written moments after a friend’s passing. Overall, Saro has proved to be a moving solo artist ready to take his craft to the next level. He will be performing next at the Resident in Los Angeles on December 12th and continuing his tour all the way to the highly anticipated Day for Night Festival in Houston, Texas, so be sure to attend one of his riveting performances in a city near you.
Sinead Harnett soon entered the stage to a full house, packed with fans from all over. All the way from London, England, Harnett has been on the rise in the R&B world since 2014 with the release of her debut EP “N.O.W.”, and even before then collaborated with many well known artists as early as 2011. It’s no wonder then that Harnett has developed a strong following here in Los Angeles, and for good reason. Her stage presence was electrifying, making everyone in the audience dance the night away. With a stellar Los Angeles show and whole tour under her belt, Harnett is definitely on the rise and one to look out for in the future. Check out her new mix tape “Chapter One” and be sure to be on the look out for when she is next performing in your hometown.
