This past Tuesday night, Violet Rose performed a private show to honor David Bowie at No Name Restaurant in Los Angeles. The set included a perfect mix of Violet Rose originals and a medley of Bowie tunes with sampled quotes from David Bowie himself. Starting with an instrumental version of “Lazarus,” Violet and her band, Vince Cuneo and Fabrizio Cavallaro, took the crowd on a journey through the many decades of Bowie’s catalogue. The group ended their set with a soulful rendition of “Heroes,” bringing the crowd to their feet. Violet Rose is finishing up “Fame,” a David Bowie cover and her next single, in the studio currently with her talented team consisting of Grammy Award winning producer Ryan Gilligan and her producer, guitarist, and brother Vince Cuneo. “Fame” is due in February and precedents a busy and exciting 2018 for Violet Rose.
